Taxi and car collide leaving three injured

Three women were left injured this morning following a collision between a taxi and light motor vehicle on the St Johns Bridge in Pinetown, KwaZulu Natal.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle in the middle of the road. The taxi had come to a stop against the road-side barrier after it crashed into a lightpole.
Upon closer inspection, parmedics found the driver seated in the light motor vehicle while two other women were found walking around on the scene.
Paramedics assessed the women and found that the driver had sustained serious injuries while the two other women had sustained minor injuries.

Paramedics treated the patients and provided the woman with advanced life support interventions. Once treated, the patients were transported to Westville Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
