Taxi veers off the road leaving nine injured

Nine people were left injured this morning when a taxi veered off the N7/N3 split in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal.

ER24 paramedics, along with another service, arrived on the scene and found the taxi some distance away from the road. The occupants had already climbed out of the vehicle and were found walking around on the scene.

Paramedics assessed the patients and found nine people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.
The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to various hospitals for further treatment.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
